Obsolete Notes are by far the hardest to try and collect by theme. Of the over two hundred that I know of at this time that were printed, as listed in the Haxbys Vol1 and Vol2, these are all I could find on the net. Almost all of these notes are over 140 years old and were considered "worthless" after the banks failed or converted to National Banks. As a result most were not saved and are listed in Haxbys as SENC (Surviving Example Not Confirmed). Counterfeiting was a big business and serveral of the examples still surviving are Counterfeits.

According to Muscalus there are at least 10 different portraits of Jackson and at least 14 notes portraying the Battle of New Orleans. Andrew Jackson is the second most popular Presidential portrait and the fifth most popular portrait on Obsolete currency. Surpassed only by Washington Franklin, Webster, and Clay. Washington probably appears on every fourth note printed on Obsoletes. My advice is to not even try and collect Washingtons.
